Ilyssa B. Sena is Of Counsel to Parker Ibrahim & Berg LLC, and focuses her practice on the representation of financial institutions in the mortgage banking industry. She has extensive experience with mortgage related litigation including allegations of TILA, RESPA, fraud, bankruptcy and foreclosure. She is admitted to practice before the state and federal bars of New York and New Jersey, and has extensive experience litigating in various federal and state courts.
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Sena served as counsel in the mortgage division at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., where she managed and oversaw hundreds of cases involving all aspects of mortgage-related litigation. She managed complex litigation and supervised outside counsel handling matters involving TILA, RESPA, fraud, bankruptcy and foreclosure.
Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Ms. Sena was an Associate with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP where she practiced in the areas of securities law, trademark and general commercial litigation. She handled successful jury trials, arbitrations, internal investigations, and prepared appellate briefs, while participating in all aspects of discovery, case management, trial preparation and case strategy. Ms. Sena also served as a law clerk to the Honorable George B. Daniels, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to her clerkship, Ms. Sena worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and was also associated with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Ms. Sena received her B.S. from Cornell University, and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal and an editor of the Moot Court Board. She was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Lawyering Skills and Legal Writing at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
