Evan is a Partner at PIB Law, and focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions. He has extensive experience with financial services-related litigation and regulatory and transactional matters.
Prior to joining PIB Law, Evan was affiliated with Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry, LLP where he managed cases involving insurance defense, product liability, and legal malpractice. Along with drafting pleadings, motions, Orders to Show Cause and legal briefs, he regularly conducted depositions and argued motions in New Jersey and New York.
Evan also served as in house counsel to a major financial institution in the Consumer and Community Bank division overseeing consumer finance and regulatory matters.
- Defended whistleblower against retaliatory lawsuit filed by his employer; dismissal of employer’s complaint was upheld by appellate court based on favorable ruling concerning issue of first impression.
- Successfully defended travel club defendant in putative class action involving Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) claims.
- Represented shareholders in action to obtain books and records of major discount retailer preceding retailer’s bankruptcy and liquidation.
